Measure your blood oxygen… get one of these

This ‘oxi-meter’ product which can be bought at prices between £9.99 and £25 can save your life by measuring the oxygen in your blood. Some people are getting COVID and believe they are OK when in fact they are close to being admitted to hospital for pneumonia and lack of oxygen in the blood. To prevent this buy this type of product and stick it on your fingers. A normal level of blood oxygen is around 97%. The meter above is showing a figure of 95% on the left. The figure on the right is my pulse at 82 beats per minute. If your blood oxygen level goes down (say to 92%) seek medical advice. For example a figure of 80% is go straight to hospital do not pass ‘go ‘ as they say in the game Monopoly.  If you want more information or would like to FACT CHECK this please read the NHS leaflet here.

Check out page 23 of the NHS leaflet where you can monitor your breathing and heart rate daily and this can be used for discussion with a health official. Stay safe everyone.
