Smart helmet on a budget

The Xioami Smart4u helmet, chic, comfortable and affordable

With the recent growth of eScooting and biking I was after a helmet that would match my new scooter. The words ‘urban’ and ‘cool’ came into mind. I’m a big fan of safety having had three incidents so far so a helmet with a built in flashing light was a requirement.

The Xioami Smart 4u helmet is around £29.99 on ebay delivered.

Here is my review.

Pros

  • Cool stealth grey colour
  • Great fit (L) for people with large heads ( >60 cm diameter)
  • Comfortable inner foam rests
  • Adjustable dial for tight fit whilst on
  • Very visible lights that flash with various modes on rear
  • Nice built in visor on the front
  • Good venting as you go at speed

Cons

  • None

The product comes with a USB charging cable for charging the in built lights.

For a similar ‘chic’ helmet you will pay from £80 – £100 and you may not get the smart light at the back.

The Smart4u range includes other helmets that allow you to listen to music and answer phone calls should you want to pay more.
