Staring at your phone every five minutes? Bothered by it? Then switch your smartphone to black and white for the 2 day challenge and see how you feel afterwards. Suddenly the lights in your brain stop lighting up when the screen is in black and white as it has now become unattractive. This is a bit like drinking a sugary drink and then tasting the diet version of it.
It’s time to make your smartphone a “dullphone“. Make it dull get it? You heard it here first.
Have fun and feel free to post the amount of time you managed to stay in black and white in the comments field. The winner gets….. to enjoy more free time and a better quality of life.

If you have oneplus Android phone just select Reading Mode to view your phone like a Kindle. This is a very handy short-cut that could be on all Android phones. It also allows you to toggle from black and white to colour as you may want colour when looking at photos.
whichwearable view : By doing this two day challenge you will become “aware” of your addictive behaviour. See how long you can last before you have to switch it back to colour. Becoming aware of your emotions and behaviours is taking the first step to “mindfulness”. If you want to take the next step then ditch the smartphone for a dumb phone or what we used to call the “feature phone”. A Nokia 1100 is a prime example with a black and white display and the famous sequel to “Snake” game called “Snake 2”. I had a look at the Nokia 1100 last night and having used a smartphone for more than ten years I can say that you soon look at it as a “talk tool” and it is a welcome tool at the weekend.
