“Integrated Training App and audio coaching”

The headphones come with an App. Within the Sports Life App is an Audio female coach and several workouts to follow. There are two choices, listen to the coach or ignore the coach. Guess what if you train more you’ll get fitter, if you don’t you won’t. I used most of the workouts in the App and set different challenges from “Setting a target” (Heart Rate as below, Cadence and Pace) to “Setting a goal” ( Duration or calorie burn).

The result here is great as the Coach tells you with AUDIO feedback that you need to slow down or speed up to meet that target and boy do you have a workout of you do this!

This a joy to use and I broke into sweat using it to increase my target pace from 180 steps to 190 steps. This is also great fun. There are dedicated fitness tests called the Cooper test and the VO2 max test both of which I took and enjoyed. Using the product more (More runs, more cycling) gives incremental feedback such as the summary below “Your fitness has improved in the last 4 weeks, up by 1%”.

Ensuring that you are not going to injure yourself is why I used to manually check my heart rate and here you have a new service of someone telling you that in your ear and I would buy the product because of that feature alone.

In the example below I am Spinning on the bike and peddling too hard pushing my heart rate into the Cardio zone. The Audio coach came back and told me to slow down as my target session was “light” training.

I also discovered that most of my exercise is in the “Maximum” zone (See below) as I run a lot so now I’m taking it easier running and have also varied my exercise plan to include light and moderate heart rate zone testing.

If technology can give you some indicators to protect you from injury then its probably worth investing in.

Circuits
The Sports App provides 8 circuits and I had a go at a few of them including the Crunches and Bellyburn. Each circuit has a drawing of the exercise and asks you to repeat the movement a number of times.

You are given audio instructions on how to do crunches, very useful circuit.

The plank featured in the “BellyBurn” circuit.

Jogging at different speeds to keep in different heart zones.

whichwearable Highlight : A true audio joy and simple feedback on training sessions.
whichwearable Lowlight : Would like to toggle Music ON/OFF during the workout easily.
