Testing “Gold Standard heart Accuracy ensures you work out in the right zone”
So how do you test Heart Rate accuracy? Well I used every device I had and compared them and then compared that result with my Lloyds Pharmacy arm glove Heart Rate monitor.
I strapped them all on my arm at the same time and the Jabra headphones in my ear of course.
The Moto 360 smartwatch, the Polar M400 chest strap/watch combination and the Jabra Pulse ALL reported the same result within a tolerance of 5 BPM whilst jogging. I find that remarkable.

I then compared the heart rate measurement from the Jabra Pulse with the Lloyds Pharmacy Heart rate arm glove home monitor and the first sample was identical . After a few minutes the numbers moved within 10 BPM but this again is still a remarkable result for a headset.

I have already tested that the App keeps you in the right heart zone in the run test and an example of the readout is below.

The Audio coach reminds you to slow down or speed up during the workout in order to keep in the right heart zone.

whichwearable Highlight : All of the devices with 10 BPM of each other.
whichwearable Lowlight : None.
